Understanding Halves

  • Half means dividing into 2 equal parts.
     

  • If you cut an apple into 2 equal pieces, each piece is ½.
     

  • Examples:
     

    • Half of a pizza = ½ pizza.
       

    • Half of 10 chocolates = 5 chocolates.
       

    • Half a glass of water = glass is filled to the middle.
       

Rule: To find half, divide the number by 2.
